Last week we took a little time and drove up to Northern Minnesota for a get away. Below are some pictures from that excursion.

All those years of working in a grain elevator and every time it rained one would have water leaking into the grain pits that were below ground. A problem that never seemed to get solved. I wonder how these outfits keep their basements dry.
| Export grain elevators located along the shores of the Duluth Harbor. Actually the water levels were slightly below normal for this time of year. |
Evenings were a little on the cool side. The below picture is on the beach behind the bed and breakfast that we stayed at during this trip. It was a nice place run by a very nice couple. We had a bond fire on the beach one night.

It always amazes me at how you can only see one sea gull on the shore and when you pull out a slice of bread and throw it in the water - suddenly out of nowhere you have several gulls flying around you.
| Take this Face Book. Give me a loaf of bread and in minutes I can have 40 friends. |
The picture below is my date for this trip and we are on top of one of the ski mountains (or big hills) at Lutsen. The overview was pretty neat as you could see for miles. We were a little early for the leaves to show their fall colors, but still it was a reminder of the beauty of God's creation. Awesome.
Looks like you had a good time. Great pics. Thanks for sharing :-) Miss you guys!
